Springing into action, the events team recently ran three events in two weeks: Procurex North Live, the National GO Awards 2016/17 and DPRTE. DPRTE was a record breaker, bringing in more delegates, sponsorship and sales revenue than last year’s event.
GO Awards National had set the standard, on 8 March, by surpassing last year’s event and bringing in more attendees and entrants. This success paves the way for the rollout of the GO Awards across the devolved nations.
Starting this process is the GO Awards Wales, which will have its premier at Cardiff’s Marriott Hotel on 6 October, following Procurex Wales Live, which is being held in Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena that day.
Head of Events Laura Aitkenhead said: “Procurex Wales is a big change for us, last year it launched as a big conference, but this year we have increased the size, number of delegates, exhibitors, and sessions; so it is a fully fledged exhibition.”
She added: “After Wales we will be launching HSCA, Procurex Scotland, GO Awards Scotland and LGPE. So within the next couple of weeks we should have all of our autumn events up and running, while also delivering the remaining spring and summer events: Procurex South, Procurex Ireland and two conferences. So it’s busy, busy!”
