The Opportunity
Reporting into the Head of Events Development, and working across our Events team, we are actively recruiting for an Event Support Coordinator to join our established Events Department, part our Media & Marketing Solutions Business Unit. with the remit of driving the performance capability of our established events and exhibitions portfolio; worth £3m to our business.
In your role of Event Support Co-ordinator you will play a wide-reaching role across the delivery of the events programme. You will actively support the Events Coordinators as they lead on assigned events. You will also work with external stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for all exhibitors and sponsors to ensure a high-quality experience for all. Your role, operating as part of the collective team, will play an important role in the commercial success of the events programme.
This role provides a great opportunity to further your experience within the events industry. We have a proven track record of team members who join us in the Support Coordinator role, develop and progress into the Event Coordinator role, and for them to assume Lead on designated events within the programme.
More about the role:
- Assist in the delivery of events portfolio through providing a supporting broad ranging administrative role to the Events team
- Liaison with exhibitors, sponsors and on occasion partners to ensure all pre-event and on-day requirements are met – full responsibility for communication with these groups in a timely and professional manner
- Booking/processing/sending of marketing campaigns across the team
- Providing support to Co-ordinators/Event lead in terms of booking and liaising with key suppliers such as shell scheme/H&S/Staffing etc
- Supporting and coordinating the updating of websites in relation to events – both content, agendas and exhibitor/sponsor logos as and when available
- Provide representation at events
- On-site attendance at designated events
More about you:
- Some level of experience of operating within an events and exhibitions environment
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word; Excel and PowerPoint
- Web experience (including HTML/ WordPress) highly desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
- Strong work ethic with an ability to work well under pressure
