Denbighshire businesses encouraged to attend procurement event

Denbighshire businesses are being encouraged to attend an event to help them bid for public or private sector contracts.business_Walking

The How to Tender and Understanding Procurement event will be held at Split Willow, Llanfairfechan, Conwy county on Wednesday, December 7 between 8.30amand 11.30am.

It is being hosted by Construction Future Wales and aims to bridge the gap between firms who would like to access procurement and those who tender for work.

Denbighshire County Council is the lead authority on the North Wales Construction framework, which aims to improve communications between the six North Wales authorities and contractors and suppliers over procurement as part of the 21st Century Schools Programme.

A Denbighshire County Council spokesman said:

“This event will help the supply chain understand both what local authorities and major contractors are looking for during the tender process.

The Council is looking to increase the amount of money it spends with local businesses and is looking to help businesses based in the county gain a better understanding of the procurement process and make it easier for them to be considered for contracts.

Attending this event will greatly benefit Denbighshire firms.”
