Paul joined BiP as an IT Operations Developer after graduating from Strathclyde University in 2011. Starting out as in a support role fixing bugs on the live systems and writing SQL scripts quickly allowed him to get up to speed with our systems and the company as a whole. Soon he progressed to the role of Junior Developer where he began working in our project development team. During this stage, Paul gained full exposure to how the software development cycle works in practice and worked not only on BiP’s own internal products, but also on projects for external clients such as MOD and Transport for London. After only a couple of years, Paul has now progressed to the role of Senior Developer, working in more depth on internal products and projects for prestigious external clients.
Paul says ‘BiP gives me a real platform to feed into product development with ideas, which isn’t something developers always get the chance to do. At every stage I have been presented with challenging projects/tasks that helped me develop professionally, and in turn helped me move up in the company.’close
