Head of Sales

BiP Solutions are excited to bring to market the new role of Head of Sales for our Media & Marketing Solutions (MMS) business unit.   Based out of our Salford office, and reporting directly into the Sales Director, this is a newly created role in the organisation to support our growth plans.

The Role

As the Head of Sales you will have responsibility for the delivery of the MMS annual budget and three-year strategic plans through demonstrating effective leadership of our talented MMS sales team, whilst also supporting the Sales Director with BiP’s wider strategic growth plans.

This is a pure leadership role, and whilst customer engagement may be required from time to time, this will be done in a leadership capacity with a focus on driving the performance of the team and all its individual team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspirational leadership responsibility for the MMS Sales team
  • Building a high-performance sales culture and effective management of agreed KPIs
  • Implementing PDPs and delivering monthly 1:1 reviews with all team members
  • Conducting regular and action-oriented sales meetings
  • Effective resource management to successfully attract, onboard and develop talent in line with budget
  • Continually improve people and processes related to the MMS Business Unit, including effective collaboration with other BiP functions that influence service delivery and customer retention
  • Develop and train out the BiP & Cadence Marketing value proposition so that it is communicated effectively across all customer interactions in the MMS sales team, including sales collateral, proposals, and presentations
  • Work closely with BiP Marketing and any external partners as appropriate, to develop and deliver effective marketing strategies and campaigns to deliver high quality leads for the MMS sales team
  • Provide monthly insight and MI to Sales Director across a wide range of performance metrics
  • Contribute the development of the MMS service & product roadmap
  • Management of sales teams monthly and annual commission plans to ensure accurate and timely payment in line with payroll requirements
  • Effective and fair management of lead and account allocation to produce the best business focussed outcomes
  • Contribute to annual budget and target creation process
  • Work effectively with the BiP Finance Team in the best interests of BiP relating to effective cash flow, debt management and margin protection

About You

We are looking to attract the best talent and as a senior member of our sales leadership team you will be able to demonstrate: –

  • Strong background within a B2B sales environment; ideally from a related industry sector
  • Proven track record of building winning B2B sales teams
  • Ability to motivate and inspire those around them to operate at their very best
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of consultative selling processes
  • A coaching leadership style; is able to challenge and provide feedback in a constructive manner
  • Strong commercial acumen and a ‘business first’ approach to leadership
  • Ability to successfully operate within a dynamic and changeable entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional organisational skills; has a strong sense of what is most important and can quickly and effectively reprioritise as circumstances change
  • Credibility of operating at Board Level when required
