Based at our Glasgow Head Office, BiP are pleased to bring to market the role of Business Intelligence Research Manager. Reporting into our Director of Content & Communications, this is a key role directly aligned to the growth strategy of the business.

About the Role

Managing a team of Research Analysts and Content Researchers, the key responsibilities of this role are to: –

  • Provide overall leadership, direction and guidance to Research Analysts and Content Researchers
  • With the support of the Director of Content & Communications, execute the associated Business Intelligence Research strategy
  • Identify and support the development and delivery of new, data based products and services
  • Identify and introduce new technology and process improvement to support efficiency and quality improvements
  • Build effective relationships across all key stakeholders, including IT, Marketing and Sales functions, and positively represent the true value of the Research function
  • Champion the value and importance of our data and how it can drive the commercial value across our product portfolio
  • Effectively manage workflow to meet with the priorities of the business
  • Manage the quality of our BI data and other content sources, to ensure we are constantly improving customer experience and satisfaction
  • Providing detail and insightful reporting which shapes and influences business decision making
  • Pro-actively manage and develop the relationship with our outsourcing partners, ensuring a focus on both quality and efficiency
  • Drive quality standards and overall governance across the team
  • Produce high quality reports for our customer base
  • Lead from the front in respect of best practice

Skills and Experience

  • Highly experienced within a data, analytics and insight environment
  • Commercially astute
  • Line management experience
  • Experience of managing external suppliers desirable
  • Commercially astute
  • Experienced in working with and analysing large volumes of data
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Budgetary management experience desirable
