It has been a hectic year for the Charity team with many successful events and some changes in its members. Both Alison Campbell and Ross Herdman left the team, as their time at BiP Marketing came to an end. However, the team’s numbers were bolstered as they were joined by Business Growth Advisor Amanda Dunsmore, Events Coordinator Nicole Taylor and Media Researcher Donald MacInnes.
The team welcomed the extra help as it prepared for the busy autumn/winter months. Festivities kicked off with the Halloween Spooky Spectacular children’s event, held in BiP Ground Floor North. Here BiP friends and family enjoyed spooky games, story time, raffles, tombola, and cake and candy. The event raised a fabulous £695 for the Realising Dreams Foundation.
Building upon this success, the team began planning its Christmas Fête, which took place on 4 December and saw the BiP training room transformed into a Winter Wonderland. The Fête allowed BiP staff to indulge in festive baking, games, a Christmas jumper competition, raffle and tombola. All this raised a further £535 for the Realising Dreams Foundation, taking the Charity team’s 2015 total to £12,550.
Charity team member Johan Kerr said: “This has been a great year for the Charity team, during which we have been busy running events and collecting donations from BiP functions.
“The team are very proud to have raised so much for the Realising Dreams Foundation, who will use it to enrich the lives of children and youths in Glasgow and beyond.
“These opportunities would not have been realised without the support of our colleagues, friends, family and BiP event attendees, who have our unreserved thanks.”
