CBI: what the EU referendum means for the UK’s prosperity
Friday April 8th, 2016
The UK has a choice ahead of it – a choice between two futures.
With a referendum on the UK’s EU membership taking place in just over two months, the British people have a vital decision ahead of them.
The CBI’s new publication details what the ‘two futures’ of remaining and leaving the EU may mean for British business and the UK’s wider prosperity. A future inside the EU would secure the benefits business already receives from membership and build upon them through the Prime Minister’s renegotiation. A future outside the EU is uncertain and could have a lasting negative impact on the UK’s economic prosperity.
CBI members are clear – 80% say it would be better for their business if they were to remain in the EU.
