Giving Back

BiP is a socially responsible company

From being the main supporter of the Realising Dreams Foundation to our involvement in the local community and from our environmentally friendly offices to paying the Living Wage, Corporate Social Responsibility is fundamental to how we work every day.

The Realising Dreams Foundation

Started with a donation of £30,000 from BiP to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary in 2014, the Realising Dreams Foundation reaches out to support exceptionally talented young people who are unable to realise their dreams because of a genuine lack of funding.

The Foundation supports a varied range of talents from sport, music and education to the performing arts. In every case, donations are targeted towards young people who can demonstrate a clear history of success and achievement in their chosen field and who see their progress as essential to make a real difference in their life and to the lives of others but who would otherwise be hindered by lack of funding.

The Foundation follows each person it supports, watching their progress and sharing in their successes. Giving back comes full circle with a growing network of successful applicants who now actively use their talents to inspire others and spread the word of the Realising Dreams Foundation.

Since 2015, the Foundation has supported a mix of talents including:

  • Performing Arts – supporting a variety of rising stars including actress Violet Tucker, opera singer Sara Brady and dancer Abigayle Hames
  • Swimming – supporting two Deaflympic GB swimmers, Danielle Joyce & Shiona McClafferty
  • Climbing – training costs for team GB climber Jake Collins
  • Motocross – equipment and training costs for Charlotte Hall
  • Music – supporting gifted clarinettist Angelo Ciriello
  • Education – providing pupil sponsorship and teaching materials in Tanzania
  • Sailing – through able2sail helping young people to achieve sailing qualifications

Community Partnerships

We understand the role our business plays in the wider community. With this in mind, we have embarked on a community partnership with Govan High School, located less than two miles from our Head Office location. Through this partnership we are supporting students in completing their SQA Employability Award while also providing a number of Work Experience opportunities for pupils.

My Donate

We’ve joined forces with BT to set up a mydonate page for Realising Dreams making it even easier for you to donate online to our charity. We picked BT’s mydonate service precisely because, unlike some others, it is a free fundraising service where every single penny of your donations goes to our charity.
