This course outlines the essentials of Project Management. It emphasises the need for excellent communication between functions, suppliers and customers and the need for effective processes that allow for “business as usual” during the change project. It highlights the barriers raised to project success by other stakeholders, and the potential pitfalls of inadequate planning and preparation. The course covers the key risk factors for projects and possible project tracking measures.

It provides a series of toolkits for planning and measuring projects in order to ensure that the project goals are achieved on time and in full to the required standard, and what corrective actions to take to course correct when this looks impossible. The course uses case studies and a worked exercise to illustrate the key points.
