The DCSF’s Commercial Group encourages the exchange of skills, knowledge and learning between commissioning and procurement professionals in the public sector.

We work with local partners to develop and showcase good commercial practice through workshops, case studies and publications. The intention is to improve the quality of outcomes for children, young people and families, and to achieve savings that can be reinvested in frontline services.

Sharing the knowledge and experience of procurement professionals working within local government will further support skill development.
