Ahson |

Dr
Ahson is the Managing Consultant of Lifeworld Ltd,
which provides consultancy support on procurement,
tendering and economic development. He is the procurement
adviser to the National Health Service/DH Mosaic
project, which aligns procurement and equality goals,
and he is also advising the Russian Ministry of
Economic Development and Trade on public procurement
and trade liberalisation. He worked on the equality
impact assessment of the London 2012 Olympics and
provided a baseline assessment for the construction
industry. Further to this, Dr Ahson has run a number
of procurement and tendering support programmes
for SMEs, including the BERR-funded Fit to Supply
programme and the LDA/ERDF-funded West London Supply
Chain initiative. |
Eugene
Cooke

Eugene
joined the Northern Ireland Health Service, Procurement
Sector in 1979, holding a number of posts within
the discipline. In May 2000 he moved from CSA -
Regional Supplies Service, Northern Ireland to the
Royal Berkshire and Battle Hospitals NHS Trust (now
the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust) as Head
of Procurement, and he has recently taken up a position
as National Head of Procurement for the NHS Blood
and Transplant service. As a Masters graduate from
the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Belfast and
member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing
and Supply, Eugene recognises the need to develop
relationships within the NHS as a whole, and with
the wider supplier community, in order to achieve
optimal supply chain arrangements. |
Jane
Harrison MCIPS

Jane
is the Senior Category Manager for the Medical /
Surgical and Pharmaceutical category. She has responsibility
for strategically managing highly complex multiple
programmes and developing collaborative relationship
management regimes that ensure maximum return on
investment on commercial spend across 27 NHS Trusts
who are members of the South East Coast Collaborative
Procurement Hub. Jane has held previous positions
with the Surrey & Sussex NHS Supply Management
Confederation, NHS PASA and NHS Trusts. |
Stephen
Dickinson

Prior
to joining the South West London Procurement Alliance,
Stephen was the Head of Purchasing for Kingston
Hospital NHS Trust since 1991. He was a member of,
and secretary to, the former NHS Trusts Federation’s
Standing Committee on Supplies and Purchasing since
its formation. He is a member of the Healthcare
Technical Committee of the Chartered Institute of
Purchasing and Supply and an officer of the Health
Care Supply Association. |
Mark
Roscrow

Mark
joined the NHS in 1978, and has had a number of
roles in procurement, mainly in Wales. He took up
his current role as Director of Welsh Health Supplies
in 1996, since when he has led a major drive to
ensure continuous improvement in the organisation
through the implementation of the EFQM model. Mark
is a member of the Procurement Board for Wales and
the UK Four Nations Strategy Group, and represents
the NHS on a number of Welsh Assembly forums. |

Tunnicliffe |

Clare
is currently a Category Manager in the NHS Purchasing
and Supply Agency and has been working within government
procurement since 1997. Prior to joining NHS PASA
Clare was Head of Supply Management Division where
she had both operational and strategic responsibilities
for procurement and supply chain activities including
the outsourcing of the pharmaceutical and dental
supply chains, category management development and
e-purchasing initiatives. On joining PASA in 2006
Clare initially was responsible for the development
of an innovative service model for prosthetics and
has recently taken over managing the gas, oil and
coal areas to focus on service development, key
supplier management and commercial intelligence.
Clare’s experience of health is not limited
to procurement as she is a registered pharmacist
and held posts in pharmacy in the NHS, Royal Army
Medical Corps and the commercial sector. |
