Richard
Parsons
Strategic Procurement Manager, London Borough
of Camden
Richard has worked in the procurement field for over
27 years, in the local authority and higher education
sectors. Following spells with West Sussex County Council
and Bexley London Borough, he set up corporate procurement
services for the London Borough of Newham, Middlesex
University and City University. He was appointed Strategic
Procurement Manager at the London Borough of Camden
in 2002, where he has been responsible for developing
and implementing a comprehensive procurement strategy
and policy. Richard is Chairman of the London Contracts
& Supplies Group, and an adviser to the Management
Board of the London Centre of Excellence. |

John
Hayes
John
is the Director of Services responsible for the delivery
of all IDeA services in London, the South East, South
West and East of England. He leads nationally on Service
Transformation and the development of the Agency’s
response to the Efficiency Review. He also has overall
responsibility for the Planning Advisory Services, support
to the Beacon scheme and the development of the Agency’s
portfolio of services to help improve local authority
rural delivery.

Denny
Over the past 20 years Richard has become something
of a legend on the international speaking circuit, and
the Richard Denny Group is recognised at the forefront
of business training on selling, leadership and management,
customer care and business growth. Richard is the creator
of the British Professional Sales Diploma and the British
Leadership & Management Diploma. Apart from his
experience as a keynote speaker he also acts as a conference
chairman and facilitator. To date he has authored and
presented over 30 training videos and written five bestselling

Black
With a career background in procurement (from utilities
to brewing ingredients), Darren has spent the last 8
years implementing e-procurement and Procure2Pay solutions
in both the private and public sectors. He left PricewaterhouseCoopers
in 2001 to form DGB Consulting Ltd and since then he
has partnered with a number of different authorities
to deliver some of the most successful and far reaching
P2P implementations in local government including Essex
County Council, London Borough of Lambeth and London
Borough of Camden

Grumley
For the last four years Rory has been implementing e-procurement
and purchase to pay systems in both local government
and the not-for-profit sector. Following implementation
work at the London Borough of Camden he is currently
contracted as e-Procurement Manager, managing support
and training for 1100 users placing in excess of 12,000
electronic purchase orders a month. |

Daniel
Lieghio
Dan has been at 4C Associates since 2002, and is a Director
and member of the six-person 4C Executive Management
Team. He has led 4C and client teams on a full range
of consultancy work, from developing procurement strategy
through to delivering major cost savings programmes,
and from initial diagnostic stage through to the delivery
and monitoring of benefits. He is responsible for leading
global companies to achieve best practice in all aspects
of procurement. |

Kieran
McGregor
Kieran has 20 years’ experience in procurement
as both practitioner and consultant. Since 2000, he
has worked as an independent trainer and consultant,
and he is a visiting lecturer at London Metropolitan
University and a Chief Examiner for CIPS. Kieran has
extensive international experience including numerous
assignments in developing countries on behalf of government
ministries, UN agencies and other funding organisations. |

Alex
Scott
Alex has been in the printing industry for nearly 30
years, and has worked in a senior capacity across most
areas of the sector, including general management, production
and manufacturing, commercial, sales, finance, logistics,
HR, CRM and facilities management. In the past seven
years, he has developed his expertise in the provision
of outsourcing services and consultancy through his
company, Wyse Solutions, specialising in advising the
not-for-profit sector, principally local government,
higher education and charities. |

Dave
Smith
David is the Commercial Director for the Department
for Work and Pensions (the biggest central government
department) and is accountable for its annual procurement
spend of over £4.2 billion. He has specialised
in procurement and commercial matters in the public
sector for nearly 20 years. Before moving to DWP, he
was Head of Procurement for the Inland Revenue (1991-2002
– made Head of Procurement in 1997) and previously
held senior commercial posts in the Home Office (1985-88)
and HM Treasury’s Central Unit on Procurement
(1988-91). David has a close working association with
the Office of Government Commerce. He is a member of
the Chief Executive’s Procurement Advisory Group,
the Government Procurement Service Management Board,
and various other inter-departmental committees.
He is also a member of the CIPS Board of Management. |
