This
year’s event seeks to examine the expanding
agenda of procurement in its widest sense.
The
procurement remit includes not only making improvements
and efficiencies within a particular public service
(eg Health, Local Authority etc) but also looking at
public sector expenditure more holistically and securing
improvements through collaboration between public sector
service providers.
Once again, procurement/commissioning professionals
need to continue to adapt and adjust to the current
and foreseeable needs of our authorities and other public
services. In this way the profession can make a valuable
contribution. We hope you will attend this year’s
Conference to share a vision of the challenges ahead
and help to support the LCSG’s work to meet those
challenges, as you have done in the past.
The
LCSG Annual Conference is the big event
for all concerned in local government procurement and
commissioning in London and the South East. The event
is specially relevant for those responsible for leading
change, such as senior management, procurement officers,
commissioning officers as well as providers/organisations
engaged in helping to bring about change and improve
service delivery to the community.
