| This conference will provide an opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers from within the Department of Health, NHS and elsewhere, who will provide an insight into how health care commissioning is developing. |
The objective of establishing pathfinder CCGs is to empower pioneering groups of GP practices that want to press ahead with commissioning care for patients. Specifically, the programme will:
- identify and support groups of practices that are keen to take on additional responsibility for commissioning services
- enable GPs, health and care professionals to test different design concepts for CCGs
- create learning networks to spread experience and best practice
