Duncan is a Non Executive Director at BiP Solutions. Prior to this he was Chief Executive of NHS PASA, an organisation he had headed since its creation in 1999. He is a past President of CIPS and the Health Care Supply Association. In 2001 CIPS awarded him the Swinbank Medal for distinguished service to purchasing and supply. In 2005 Duncan was awarded the prestigious GO magazine Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of his contribution to the public procurement profession.

Neil Argyle - Chairman |

| Former Director of Pharmaceuticals, NHS PASA | ||
Neil recently retired after a career spanning over 40 years in procurement, 31 of which were in the health care sector. After working in Trent and Oxford regions he became Divisional Supplies Manager in North West Thames in 1983, providing a procurement and logistics service to hospitals in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. In 1991 the Division merged into East Anglia Regional Health Authority and he was appointed Director of Purchasing. Shortly afterwards, NHS Supplies was formed and Neil became National Purchasing Executive for the medical category. When NHS Supplies was disbanded and the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency came into existence in 2000, Neil was appointed Director of Policy and Performance. His responsibilities included business planning, supplier relationships and communications, legal and procedural issues, the environment and emergency planning. In 2005 he was appointed Director of Pharmaceuticals, a position he held until taking early retirement at the end of 2006.

Peter spent 28 years in sales, marketing and general management before being appointed Chief Executive of ABHI in October 2008 after spending over 12 months as Association Chairman. As Chief Executive he represents the views of ABHI members to Department of Health associated bodies, the Government, Brussels and beyond. He is focused on making the UK a more fertile environment for innovative technologies to be rapidly adopted and on enabling innovation for the benefit of patients and efficient, effective healthcare. Peter has been an active participant in ABHI activities for a number of years as well as being involved with SDMA, BHTA and the Drug Tariff Forum and chairing the AdvaMed UK Working Group.

Helen has worked in purchasing and supply roles in the Department of Health and NHS since 1987, covering both clinical and non-clinical markets. Since May 2005 she has held the post of Procurement Director for national category management in the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (NHS PASA). Her team is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for managing markets as diverse as energy, fleet, professional and outsourced services, national audit of agency staffing, estates and emergency reparedness. Helen also leads the NHS PASA contribution to the Transforming Government Procurement and Operational Efficiency programme activity across health. In particular NHS PASA is the sponsor of OGC’s fleet collaborative procurement project and leads on the risk management buying MODel for energy procurements.

| Procurement Director, Peninsula Purchasing and Supply Alliance | ||
Faye joined the Peninsula Purchasing and Supply Alliance (PPSA) in April 2006 as Procurement Director. The PPSA is a first wave procurement confederation covering 12 NHS organisations within Devon and Cornwall. Directly accountable to the Chair of the PPSA Board, Faye’s role is to provide strategic direction and influence PPSA-wide expenditure in excess of £560m a year. She has overall responsibility for the delivery of the PPSA work plan and efficiency savings. Commencing in 1987 as a graduate management trainee, Faye has worked for the NHS for over 20 years. She has held senior management positions within the procurement functions at local hospital (Capital Equipping Manager at Frenchay Hospital and Purchasing and Supply Manager at Oxford Radcliffe Hospital), regional (Area Account Manager, South West) and national level (Purchasing Executive, Leasing, E-Commerce, Primary Care Purchasing and Strategic Development at the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency)

| Director, Welsh Health Supplies | ||
Mark joined the NHS in 1978, and has had a number of roles in procurement, mainly in Wales. He took up his current role as Director of Welsh Health Supplies in 1996, since when he has led a major drive to ensure continuous improvement in the organisation through the implementation of the EFQM MODel. Mark is a member of the Procurement Board for Wales and the UK Four Nations Strategy Group, and represents the NHS on a number of Welsh Assembly forums.

Andrew is the Director of Procurement Enablement for the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (NHS PASA), part of the Department of Health. NHS PASA is responsible for purchasing and supply strategy for the English National Health Service and also manages national contracts covering £3.2bn of the NHS’s £20bn total of non-pay expenditure. Andrew has 22 years’ NHS purchasing experience at local, regional and national levels. He is the Director responsible for e-procurement, sourcing and data analysis and programme and uptake management. His wider corporate responsibilities include performance, quality and information. Andrew has a Masters Degree from the University of Birmingham and is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Gary Welch |

| Programme Director, London Procurement Programme | ||
Gary is Programme Director for the London Procurement Programme (LPP). He was previously involved in the establishment of PRO-CURE, the Collaborative Procurement Hub in the South Central SHA region. Most of his career has been spent in the private sector where he has held a variety of engineering, production management and commercial roles. The LPP works alongside Trusts to make the most of the commercial size of the NHS in London. The main focus is to drive collaboration, maximising London's £5bn purchasing power and using this to deliver savings and improvements to enhance patient care across the capital.
