The European Union Consolidated Public Procurement Directive sets out the legal framework within which all public procurement must be undertaken. This Directive is then transposed by each individual Member State into national law.

The current EU Public Procurement Directive is 2004/18/EC and has been implemented within the UK through two new Regulations:

  • The Public Contract Regulations SI 2006 No.5
  • The Public Contract Regulations (Scotland) SI 2006 No.1

This event is designed for both suppliers to and buyers within the public sector to provide an overview of the Regulations and a more detailed consideration of some of the key aspects affecting procurement processes and practices. It will give guidance on how best to tender and procure compliantly so that all parties affected by the Regulations can use them to their benefit.

BiP through its PASS events programme is dedicated to assisting the public sector in its professional development. For the first time, delegates at a wide range of PASS events will be able to claim CPD Points at many of our seminars. Remember that new learning gained from all training and development events can count towards your total for your company or professional institute CPD schemes.
