	Peter AKID Chief Executive, North West Collaborative Procurement Hub Peter is a highly experienced professional in the arena of Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Management, and currently holds the position of Chief Executive of the North West Collaborative Procurement Hub. Prior to joining the Hub in May 2005, he was Vice President of Global Supply Chain for Cable & Wireless, where he undertook major operational change programmes in the Caribbean and Latin America. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute.
	Neil Argyle Former Director of Pharmaceuticals NHS PASA Neil has recently retired after a career spanning over 40 years in procurement, 31 of which were in the healthcare sector. After working in Trent and Oxford regions he became Divisional Supplies Manager in North West Thames in 1983, providing a procurement and logistics service to hospitals in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. In 1991 the Division merged into East Anglia Regional Health Authority and he was appointed Director of Purchasing. Shortly afterwards, NHS Supplies was formed and Neil became National Purchasing Executive for the medical category. When NHS Supplies was disbanded and the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency came into existence in 2000, Neil was appointed Director of Policy and Performance. His responsibilities included business planning, supplier relationships and communications, legal and procedural issues, the environment and emergency planning. In 2005 he was appointed Director of Pharmaceuticals, a position he held until taking early retirement at the end of 2006.

	Eddie Regan Senior PASS Consultant Eddie is BiP Solutions' Senior Procurement Consultant. Working alongside the Client Services team, he frequently assists public sector organisations with clarification and interpretation of EU Directives and a wide variety of legislative issues. Eddie is lead consultant on BiP's PASS Mark Health Check, an evaluation technique that helps identify how organisations in both the public and private sectors can develop more effective processes in respect of all aspects of public sector contracting. A member of the International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association (IPSERA), Eddie is also the senior adviser on BiP's unique Tender Support Helpline team, which provides advice on contracting matters to hundreds of clients. For the last 13 years Eddie has lectured regularly on procurement policy and processes at conferences and events, both on behalf of BiP and for a variety of other organisations, including the Society of Procurement Officers in Local Government (SOPO) and the Institute of Directors. He also provides in-house training on the tendering process – law and practice – to personnel in both the public and private sectors, including several multinational organisations.
