The Central Buying Consortium is the largest purchasing consortium in the UK. Since its formation in 1991, it has increased its membership from six to seventeen local authorities and now represents most of the major authorities from the Midlands to the South East, outside London. The Central Buying Consortium continues to go from strength to strength, working to effect savings in public expenditure by improving procurement practices. Working with a wealth of suppliers throughout the UK, the consortium is recognised as a proactive organisation, effecting change and working to bring together buyers and suppliers. On 15 March 2007 we will be presenting the Central Buying Consortium’s Annual Conference and Exhibition. Drawing together a wealth of key decision makers from across local government, this event will provide the perfect platform for suppliers and buyers to meet face to face in a business environment.
