Attend Connecting to the Hub and find out how to win new business opportunities with the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub (CPH).

Launched in April 2007, East of England NHS CPH is an organisation concerned with delivering a step change in procurement by enhancing capability, and through collaboration seeking opportunities to maximise leverage and value for money for NHS trusts in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

East of England NHS CPH provides a range of services to 35 provider and 14 commissioning organisations within the East of England to make a positive impact upon the £921million addressable spend in the region.

East of England NHS CPH has one overriding strategic objective:

To support members, via procurement exercises, to achieve their imperatives around financial surplus, enhancing positive clinical outcomes and achieving access targets.

Delivery of this strategic objective is supported by seven operational objectives:

  • Deliver tangible cost reduction benefits that may be re-invested locally by Provider organisations
  • Work with stakeholders to drive value through the application of procurement and commercial expertise, to deliver an improvement in patient outcomes and system efficiency
  • Reduce clinical risk, improve the quality of patient care, and support sustainability and innovation
  • Lead regional procurement activities on behalf of member trusts, and proactively manage the supplier interface
  • Develop and implement common data collection, reporting and benefits tracking systems across the local health economy to maximise procurement and supply chain efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify and implement wider supply chain opportunities so as to enable our customers to provide a better and more effective service
  • Promote and maximise purchasing best practice through the active transfer of knowledge and skills across the whole health economy.
