Special
one-day Conference & Exhibition for Government & Industry
22 May 2002, The institution of
Civil Engineers, One Great George Street, London |
Delivering
quality public services is an overriding objective of Government,
both at Central and Local level.
The Cabinet Office, through the "Departmental Change Programme",
is focusing on an overall system review - with the aim of developing
a
"High Performance Department."
Departments, through the Better Quality Services initiative, are systematically
reviewing and improving supply arrangements, their focus being on
what is being delivered, whatever the means of delivery - be it public,
private or a partnership of both.
In Local Government the Best Value initiative is the key element in
the Government's plans for modernising and improving service delivery,
and Best Value recognises that good procurement practice is essential
if Local Government is to obtain real improvements in service cost
and quality.
The conference programme is divided into four prime sessions, each
focusing on a specific service area followed by an open forum, when
speakers will be joined by other representatives from both the public
and private sectors.
Speakers and delegates at this high-profile event include key public
procurement personnel and blue-chip service providers actively involved
in the procurement of services, and the event provides ample opportunities
for debate and networking.
For further information regarding Exhibition Opportunities, which
will raise your profile amongst not only both central and local government
delegates but also blue-chip service providers, please email events@bipcontracts.com
or see contact details overleaf. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come,
first-served basis.
